On The Road To “Be-coming”
Written by admin on July 22, 2008
Unlike the rattle of noisey conflict found in modern life, a profound gift of Reiki is its expansion of stillness in each day. With its simple teachings assisting in both transition and balance, its full potential can be served to us on a platter of our own intentional creation. With the added potential of profound healing, personal transition and renewed peaceful direction in our lives, it seems an antidote to modern confusion and pain. But don’t these promises come with an impossible price tag…we cannot imagine it, where does one begin? How can any mortal find these promised blessings without sacrificial effort, years spent in monastic devotion, or both? In Reiki, Dr. Mikao Usui, presented simplicity as the antidote to mankind’s need for complexity. Mindfulness, the art and discipline of merely holding an intention of peace and joy is the sufficient foundational principle for it’s eventual creation. Whether one seeks to master one’s own life or to master Reiki, the path begins with five simple precepts:
- Today, I will not be angry.
- Today, I will not worry.
- Today, I will be grateful.
- Today, I will work hard (diligently).
- Today, I will be kind to others.
Sometimes known as the Five Principles of Reiki, these concepts are deceptively powerful, creative tools… with all that is needed to nurture an inner condition which opens to a renewed flow of innocent energy in which all beneficial possibilities may occur. Reiki Master students report experiencing almost magical syncronisities with their consistent application…and, the greater gift of transformation (the true the essence of all healing) for themselves and loved ones.
More than empty affirmations, anyone can benefit from these simple declarations of the Divine by calling them into one’s present awareness several times a day. As we experience daily life we actually “become” our point of focus… Isn’t it wonderful to know that the first step toward a redirection of our focus to a life reflecting only the highest vibration is the simple, uncluttered thought…? Be mindful of these five “living” principles and allow them to be the greatest guides to your own joyous and peaceful Be-coming.

Where Intentions Meet
Written by admin on July 17, 2008
Let’s begin with a bit of clarity. Since the arrival of the “Reiki Method of Natural Healing” in the West, a glaring conundrum has emerged, that of the evolution of unique if not divergent paths which claim Reiki service. With no desire to diminish an individual’s choice to follow any of these divergent paths, it is important to note all these subsequent Reiki methods have grown out of a central teaching. We acknowledge that truth as the common thread which binds us all in a common purpose. We choose to support Reiki’s common thread of intention, that of service to one’s fellow man, through the teachings of the Usui Reiki Ryoho tradition, since in one way or another, each of these “expanded” Reiki methods must at some point, trace their founding concepts to the initial teachings of Dr. Mikao Usui.
With this common thread of truth, the Virtual Reiki Circle intends to:
- promote that field of healing energy common to each of these methodologies, without further comment.
- create an environment conducive to the professional development of practitioners.
- support ”Reiki” as a complementary medical modality, and its use as an accepted integrative medical intervention/service.
- to make use of modern innovations in the emerging digital environments to share healing education through both groups and individual practitioners
These are the initial details of our mission statement. The exciting part is in the doing… So, if you are a Reiki Practitioner, having had Level One attunements by a qualified Reiki Master Instructor, your participation is welcome. Come be with us as we share experiences, develop our professional skills, participate in live broadcasts of clinical healing sessions and take a cyber-chair in face-to-face, real time, roundtable discussions with other Reiki professionals from around the world.
Namaste,
